Movies in original version
In our opinion, watching movies with original soundtrack - with or without subtitles - brings a substantial
contribution to the consolidation of language knowledge, because spectators are confronted with the
language in a real context, they hear it spoken in its natural rhythm, with a live vocabulary and
possibly with local accent.For these reasons, original soundtrack movie presentations make up an important part of the cultural events organized by us. Often, these presentations are correlated with other cultural events, such as discussion rounds or cultural presentations. For the opening of the series Cultural Fridays, we have shown the film "Soul Kitchen" by the German director with Turkish roots Fatih Akin, one of the most famous and prolific representatives of the contemporary German cinema. In the introduction, a short presentation of his biography and work was given. After the film, visitors had the opportunity to taste typical German gastronomic specialities.
